Christmas Reimagined
Christmas looked a little different this year but we still had loads of fun! In mid-December each family with ACTS kids had the opportunity to come to the ACTS house and select items to put under their Christmas trees. On top of many individual donations and labors of love, we are extremely grateful for partner organizations and businesses that helped create this experience. First Presbyterian of Holland (www.fpcholland.org) donated gift cards for groceries and gas so that each family could have extra support during the holiday season as well as funds for other Christmas gift items. We also want to thank each and every person who participated in an online benefit sale hosted by J’ME Decor. All proceeds from the clothing and artwork sold went towards making Christmas possible at ACTS.
After such a challenging year we felt that it was even more important to empower families to hold their own Christmas instead of holding our own Christmas party as normal. Over 60 individuals were served over 3 days of appointments so that families could shop safely.
Thank you to the finance team at Innotec (www.innotecgroup.com) for collecting a variety of stocking stuffer items that went into Christmas baskets ACTS gifted to each of our kids at the drive-thru Christmas party we held. In early January kids stopped by the outdoor space around the ACTS house with their families to receive their baskets and a new ACTS sweatshirt printed by Silkscreen Marketing (www.silkscreenmarketing.com). This was a wonderful time to enjoy hot chocolate and other Christmas treats and share Christmas cheer as an ACTS family in a safe way.
